Bear Creek Arsenal is bringing to market their first all-metal, striker-fired, full-size duty handgun, the 9mm GENES1S. The GENES1S matches the durability of industry standard 7075-T6 aircraft grade aluminum with a tried and true striker-fire action similar to Glock safe action pistols.
The GENES1S’ aluminum lower was designed for ergonomic comfort and ease of shooting, with the handgun’s magazine well flared for smooth and snag-free reloads. The frame also features aggressive and assertive stippling in addition to a wider trigger guard. The dust cover area has a section of M1913 Picatinny rail in order to easily attach pistol accessories such as lights or lasers. The FDE Cerakoted slide has lightening window cuts as well as front and rear slide serrations. The pistol is optics ready from the factory and is designed to work with optics that use the Trijicon RMR footprint. Additionally, the slide is installed with metal sights with light-grabbing photoluminescent aiming dots for low light shooting. The GENES1S’ 4½-inch fluted barrel is constructed from 416R stainless steel and has a threaded muzzle for use with suppressors or other barrel accessories. A threaded muzzle cap is also included.
The GENES1S is compatible with the vast aftermarket of third generation Glock parts, accessories, and holsters. In addition to this, Bear Creek Arsenal includes two KCI 17-round 9mm magazines with every GENES1S handgun. In spite of the all-metal construction, the GENES1S still weighs right around a very reasonable 26 ounces.
