The new Compact 5.56 NATO version of the ROTEX-X sound suppressors is now shipping from B&T USA. The ROTEX-X sound attenuators are designed for use with the popular 5.56 NATO and 7.62 NATO cartridges and will be offered in both compact and full-size versions. Its predecessor, the ROTEX-V has been used by multiple NATO-aligned European countries for several years, so the general design is a solid, battle-tested platform.

These firearms mufflers use a quick detach mounting system that incorporates a double lock. What will be an incredibly useful feature for many shooters is the QD system is designed to work with NATO-spec A2 flash hiders. The A2 flash hider, also known as a “birdcage,” is probably the most popular muzzle device found on AR-style rifles in the United States.

“The ROTEX-V has a rich heritage and is widely used on the service rifles of many European NATO countries, and has so for many years” said Jon Scott, Vice President of Sales, B&T USA. “The ROTEX-X is an evolution of the V, which maintains the same performance attributes of its predecessor, yet has been reengineered to reduce its weight by about 20 percent. Industry-leading sound and flash reduction, as well as ease of use, remain unchanged.”

The ROTEX-X 5.56 Compact model is only 6.6 inches long with a 1.5 inch diameter. It weighs 19 ounces. It has a bead-blasted grey finish. B&T USA makes the ROTEX-X in the United States.

Based in Tampa, B&T USA operates under license of B&T AG Switzerland. B&T AG manufactures almost 500 different models and variations of firearms suppressors. Founded in 1991, the company has more than 30 years of experience in the market – something many current sound suppressor companies cannot match.

The ROTEX-X in 5.56 NATO carries a suggested retail price of $675. For additional information, visit B&T USA at bt-usa.com.
