The Contractor is rated to sustain recoil from firearms that are chambered in powerful cartridges such as .50 BMG, and the sight is also suitable for use in environments with different and changing meteorological or ambient factors, such as total darkness, low contrast daylight, smoke, haze, or light fog. The Armasight Contractor also has built-in sensors that are capable of detecting details such as elevation and level angles, and the optic also comes with an integrated stadiametric range finder and compass.

Other features found in the Contractor include:

  • MIL-STD thermal scope quality
  • ArmaCORE 320x240 12 micron Thermal Core
  • 60 Hertz 1024x768 AMOLED Display

To augment the user experience and functionality of these thermal optics, Armasight also developed and offers Android and iOS compatible applications that pair with the Contractor. These applications not only allow you control the unit remotely, capture photos or video (or livestream), but the applications will also help you to maintain the GPS location of the unit and can update the optic's software via a USB connection.
