FIME Group announced the expansion of the affordable Arex Rex Zero pistol lineup, adding the new Rex Zero 1T tactical pistol model to the company's offerings.
The new Rex Zero 1T pistol includes the most versatile features found on any Rex Zero pistol model to date, coming equipped with a threaded barrel, 20+1 total magazine capacity and the inclusion of the company's Rex Optics Ready System.
Chambered in 9 mm, the Rex Zero 1 Tactical Series is designed to meet mil-spec reliability standards and, according to the company, has withstood testing in extreme hot and cold temperatures, drop tests and other harsh treatment.
The pistol is constructed on a frame made from T7075 aluminum, which features a hard-anodized finish for added durability. For light and laser use, the frame features a Picatinny accessory rail machined into the dust cover. The slide is machined from solid bar stock and features a nitrocarburized finish for corrosion resistance. The slide also incorporates front and rear cocking serrations and features full-length rails for reliability.
On the top of the slide is the Rex Optics Ready system, which features a machined slot that accepts four different accessory plates that are designed to match up with several popular micro reflex sights on the market today. Plates are available for Trijicon, C-More, Shield/Jpoint, EOtech, Vortex, Burris, Docter, Insight and Meopta optics.
The slide surrounds a 4.9-inch cold-hammer-forged barrel machined from a solid piece of bar stock and completed with a nitrocarburized finish. The barrel is threaded with a 1/2x28 TPI thread pitch that fits most centerfire suppressor options. The slide is rated for +P use.
Other features of the Rex Zero 1T pistol include the ability to be carried cocked and locked or decocked with a DA/SA operation. The pistol includes a loaded-chamber indicator, an oversized trigger guard that allows for the use of gloves and white-dot steel sights.
The pistol is available in black and flat dark earth finishes. The suggested retail price on the Rex Zero 1T pistol is $869.99.
