Apex Steiner Optic Clamp

Apex Tactical Specialties is now announcing the release of their Apex Super Clamp for use with the Steiner MPS (micro pistol sight) optic.

The Apex Super Clamp is an aftermarket part machined from steel and finished in black oxide that costs $20. The Apex Tactical Super Clamp is meant to replace the OEM optic clamp that ships with the Steiner MPS. The Super Clamp will increase the clamping surface area of the Steiner MPS in order to better attach to any dovetail mount originally milled out to the correct Aimpoint ACRO specifications. According to Steiner, the fastening screws are best torqued to 2.5 Newton-meters or 22.12 inch-pounds.

Apex Super Clamp Specifications:

  • Designed specifically for use with the Steiner Micro Pistol Sight
  • Increases Clamping Surface Area
  • Easy to Install
  • Part Number: 104-131
  • MSRP: $20

The Steiner MPS is the German firm’s enclosed emitter slide mounted electronic red dot pistol sight. In addition to the sight’s body being fully enclosed by metal, the Steiner MPS also has a unique front facing hood that sits in front of the objective lens to better protect it. Its arrangement is not dissimilar from the way a motorcycle helmet protects a riders face from impact. Moreover, the Steiner MPS also shares its mounting footprint with the popular Aimpoint ACRO and is also compatible with optics ready slides that cater to this footprint.

Steiner MPS Specifications:

  • True 1x magnification
  • Fully encased optic body
  • Weight: 2.05 ounces
  • Battery Life: 13,000 hours
  • 8 Brightness settings (including two night vision settings)
  • Aimpoint ACRO footprint
