FN magazine extension

Apex Tactical makes a large number of accessories for guns from Glock, Smith & Wesson, SIG Sauer and many others. Now Apex has expanded its support for the FN line of pistols with a new Plus-2 Magazine Base Pad Extension for the FNX-45 model pistol.

The FNX-45 is the result of years of innovative product development and advanced engineering techniques. Modeled after the FNP-45 service pistol that was introduced in 2007 under the U.S. Joint Combat Pistol Program, the FNX-45 is a double-action/single-action hammer-driven pistol with enhanced ergonomics and features such as manual safety/decocking levers, slide stop lever, and magazine release that are all fully ambidextrous for ease of operation with either hand and from any firing position. The pistol ships with a standard 15-round magazine, which means that you can fit up to 17 rounds of .45 ACP in a magazine with this baseplate from Apex Tactical.

Machined from aluminum and black hardcoat anodized for durability, the new Apex FNX-45 base pad easily increases magazine capacity by two rounds. It also provides enough space for the stack to further compress the magazine spring to allow a fully loaded magazine to be seated with the slide in battery. The base pad’s integrated finger grooves make stripping a magazine easy.

Features and Specifications:

  • For FNX-45 pistols
  • Adds two (2) rounds of additional capacity to magazine
  • Maintains function of the slide lock after last round is fired
  • Finger grooves on the perimeter and front corner make stripping a mag easy
  • Machined from aluminum and Black Type III Hardcoat anodized for durability
  • Single set screw keeps mag extension snugly in place and allows for ease of disassembly
  • Easy installation

MSRP for the FNX-45 Plus-2 Magazine Base Plate $34.95, and for more information on this product and other items from Apex Tactical, please visit apextactical.com.
