Alien Gear Gear Drop Leg Rig

Alien Gear Holsters based out of Post Falls, ID, is releasing a new swivel drop-leg rig compatible with many of Alien Gear’s popular holster models such as the ShapeShift and Cloak Mod holsters.

The new Swivel Drop Leg rig is designed to allow users of the ShapeShift and Cloak Mod holsters the ability to experience the enhanced functionality of Alien Gear’s Swivel Drop Leg platform. The unique two point swiveling design allows for better movement when worn while helping keep the holstered firearm in place. Alien Gear’s system only uses a single leg strap, removing the need for extra straps that are often seen on more traditional drop-leg designs.

Accessing drop-leg holstered firearms is useful for shooters, policemen and military operators who typically wear load-bearing equipment to carry their tactical items and gear. Having holsters in the drop leg position is also useful when body armor or plates carriers are worn, as their bottom edges can sometimes clash and get in the way of pistols that are kept in holsters placed around the center waistline area of the body. The Alien Gear Drop Leg platform ensures the pistol sits just beneath this center waistline area, but still high enough for the gun to be at arm’s reach for a quick draw.

The retail price for the Alien Gear Drop Leg Holster platform starts at $100 for just the harness. Wearers also have the option of purchasing a complete system that includes the Shapeshift or Cloak Mod holster shells for $136. All Alien Gear holsters and accessories are made in the United States of America and carry the company’s 30-day Test Drive Guarantee along with their Forever Warranty.
