Bushmaster Launches Minimalist SD AR-15

The newest AR-15 rifle in the Bushmaster Firearms lineup is the Minimalist-SD, designed to provide a lightweight rifle at an affordable price point.

The rifle features a lightweight 16-inch 4150 chrome-moly barrel with a melonite finish surrounded by a rifle-length Advanced Armament Corp square-drop handguard with KeyMod attachment points. The furniture is finished with a Mission First Tactical Minimalist Stock, grip and magazine. An AAC 51T flash hider is included with the rifle.

Finally, an ALG Defense Advanced Combat Trigger is included to provide a consistent trigger pull that weighs in at 5.5 pounds. Total weight of the entire rifle is 6 pounds.

The rifle comes in two caliber options: 5.56 NATO and .300 BLK. The 5.56 NATO barrel features 1:8-inch twist, while the .300 BLK barrel features a 1:7-inch twist. The suggested retail price on both models is $1,169.
