A pretty strong case can be made for something like the Shock N' Awesome Tomahawk, really. If you've ever been to a backyard range, or even a more rural shooting range, you'll appreciate a tool that can clear overhanging branches with ease. Clearing the various flora that seem to infest your favorite "off the beaten path" shooting place is much easier with the right tool, and Browning's tomahawk will make short work of the most determined kudzu.

It even comes with a handy injection-molded sheath that has straps to secure it to your favorite day-pack. You can weave the polymer straps through a standard MOLLE weave and have the Shock N' Awesome at the ready while simultaneously out of the way. For even the casual camper/backpacker, this is a quite reasonable addition to your kit and can come in quite handy while traversing the trails and paths.

But, really, that's not the appeal of the Shock N' Awesome Tomahawk. No, it's that you have a modern version of one of the more feared melee weapons at the ready, updated with modern components but maintaining the razor-sharp edge and fearsome spike for which the tomahawk is known. While you may never face down the rampaging hordes with naught but your trusty ax, it still fills the hand with a reassuring grip of the G-10 scales as you split more tinder.

MSRP: $133.
