AR-15 magazines come in a variety of shapes, sizes, colors and materials, from a large number of manufacturers. Hexmag was one of those manufacturers, and they were known for making distinctive AR-15 magazines that stood out from the crowd.

Sentry Products Group acquired Hexmag in 2017, and after the acquisition, Sentry set out to refine and expand the magazine and firearms accessories they offer to the American gun owner. Now the most recent advancement is Sentry’s Carbon Fiber AR-15 magazine, made from a proprietary carbon fiber composite that is blended with our Polyhex2 polymer.

This new magazine offers exceptional durability and consistent performance, continuing Hexmag’s legacy of creating polymer magazines that are known for exceptional reliability and resiliency. Adding carbon fiber significantly increases the overall strength and rigidity which further enhances performance. And as an added benefit to the end-user, the carbon fiber reduces the total weight by 20 percent compared to a standard AR-15 magazine.

As with all Hexmag products, the new Carbon Fiber AR-15 mag features the patented Hexture pattern for confident and positive grip, in all manner of environmental conditions. In addition to this, the magazine can be easily cleaned and maintained, due to the Carbon Fiber having the industry’s first tool-less takedown design. A heat-treated stainless-steel spring eliminates corrosion and resists fatigue, even when loaded for long periods of time.

Hexmag’s True-Riser system allows you to create State compliant 10-, 15-, and 30-round configurations, and the Sentry HexID color identification system allows you to quickly identify caliber and ammo type through the coded safety system that uses high visibility followers and latch plate.

The Carbon Fiber AR-15 magazine is available in black with an MSRP of $21.99. For more information on this product and other gear from Sentry Products, please visit sentrytactical.com.
