Sarsilmaz is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of firearms, and now the company is introducing the new SAR 9X Platinum striker-fired semi-automatic 9 mm pistol as part of their SAR USA lineup.
“The SAR 9X Platinum’s DNA comes directly from the SAR 9 pistol which is one of the latest offerings from SAR USA,” said Todd Pearson, COO of SAR USA. “The SAR 9 was originally designed and engineered to compete on the world stage as a military sidearm, and to fill a military contract. Now we are offering the SAR 9 in the X Platinum package which includes Cerakote finished slide, paddle holster, double mag pouch, magazine loader and accessory flashlight. All are packaged in a handsome carrying case”.
The SAR 9X Platinum striker-fired pistol has a lightweight polymer frame with accessory rail and a serrated slide with a Cerakote platinum finish. The 4.5-inch hammer-forged barrel has a recessed crown for increased accuracy, and the slide has 3-dot sights along with an optic-ready mount.
There are three insertable back straps included to personalize the fit of the 9X Platinum to your hand, allowing the pistol to point naturally and making it easier to shoot. The low barrel axis-to-grip ratio of the pistol helps reduce muzzle climb, and the 20-degree grip angle helps control each shot and provide fast follow up shots. These features, along with an ambidextrous safety trigger make the SAR 9X a great choice for an everyday carry pistol.
The SAR 9X Platinum incorporates a unique safety trigger that features a tab safety in the center that prevents a discharge should the gun be dropped on the rear of its slide. There is also a bright-red insert on the trigger that is visible from the side when the trigger is in the forward position. Labeled a “striker status indicator," this enables the shooter to see, at a glance, whether the gun is cocked or not, even from a distance as long as the side of the trigger is visible. The SAR 9X Platinum comes standard with one 17-round and one 19-round magazine. There is also an option for two 10-round magazines for areas with magazine capacity restrictions.
