Incredibly compact and uniquely designed, KelTec introduced the new SUB2000 CQB at the 2020 SHOT Show in Las Vegas. The SUB2000 CQB is integrally suppressed and capable of folding down to an impressively compact package thanks to a simple takedown process via a lift tab.

The new SUB2000 CQB will be offered in .40 S&W and 9 mm and will be available with a multi-mag or Glock-mag configuration. While it hasn’t been finalized, KelTec is expected to release an iron-sighted version and one with a light/laser combo. A Picatinny top rail accommodates various optics, including red dots. According to KelTec, the 9 mm variant produces just under 130 dB.

The beauty of the SUB2000 CQB is its compact size, especially when folded. At full extension the rifle is roughly 30 inches in length and about 17 inches when folded. At that size it’s incredibly easy to stash the SUB2000 in a backpack, shoulder bag or in a vehicle. Likewise, the rifle weighs less than 5 pounds, making it easy to transport.

Like the original SUB2000, the CQB features blowback operation and features a 1:10-inch twist in the 9 mm format. The rifle is built with a 16.25-inch barrel and has a 9.5-pound trigger pull. A prepper’s dream, the SUB2000 CQB is expected to have an MSRP around $1,000.
