Designed specifically for concealed-carry use, the all-new Walther CCP M2, chambered in 9 mm, takes all of the popular features of the company's original CCP and blends it with the enhancements found in the M2 upgrades found elsewhere in the company's lineup. The end result is an improved design that answers many consumer requests and provides the market with an ideal personal-defense pistol.

“We knew we had a great pistol in the CCP, but listening to our consumers drove us to upgrade certain features,” said Bret Vorhees, director of product development for Walther Arms. “The new tool-less take down, on top of the grip that seems to fit every hand, and the reduced recoil benefits of the soft-coil system, makes this pistol the perfect option for any shooter.”

Originally introduced to the market in 2014, the Walther CCP brought innovation in the form of its trademarked SoftCoil Technology, which was designed to allow for easy, trouble-free slide manipulation, as well as a gas-delayed blowback operation that softened recoil and made the gun more accessible to consumers with weaker hands and recoil-sensitivity. On the new CCP M2, Walther retained this innovative recoil-management system as well as the enhanced ergonomics that are found across all of the company's guns.

New features on the Walther CCP M2 include a visible cocking indicator that provides added confirmation that the firearm is ready to fire, as well as a tool-less takedown system that provides owners with a quicker, easier method to keep their go-to personal-defense pistol maintained. The CCP M2 is equipped with three-dot polymer sights, as well as angled serrations on the front and rear of the slide. A slide-stop lever keeps the slide locked to the rear on an empty magazine, and an ambidextrous magazine release allows for left- and right-handed operation. A manual thumb-safety is located on the left side of the frame, and the pistol is also equipped with a firing-block safety to prevent unintentional discharges.

The Walther CCP M2 measures 5.12 inches in height and 1.18 inches in width. The overall barrel length is 3.54 inches, and the pistol features a trigger-pull weight of 5.5 pounds and a total trigger-travel distance of 0.27 inch. Magazine capacity on the CCP M2 is eight rounds, and the pistol is also equipped with a Picatinny accessory rail on the frame to accommodate light and lasers. The suggested retail price on the Walther CCP M2 is $469.
