Adding a new, innovative option to the tactical shotgun market in 2018, the IWI Tavor TS12 bullpup shotgun is loaded with a number of features designed to promote handling, durability and magazine capacity for sporting and tactical use.

“The Tavor TS12 is our first entry into the home defense shotgun market and we held off until we had something unique and desirable that held the same characteristic quality and performance of the entire TAVOR line,” said Casey Flack, CEO of IWI US. “The TS12 is it; compact, easy to use and maintain, and with a large magazine capacity, it is ideal for home defense, as well as a sporting shotgun.”

Setting the Tavor TS12 apart from other bullpup shotguns on the market is the use of a unique, gas-regulated, semi-automatic action. The gun uses what IWI calls its "Bullhead" bolt-locking system that contributes to the reliable, easy-to-use operation. The system is completely ambidextrous, allowing users to load or unload the gun from the left and right, as well as configure the gun to eject spent rounds from either side. Controls are fully ambidextrous as well, and the TS12 features an intuitive crossbolt safety.

Magazine capacity on the Tavor TS12 bullpup shotgun is 15 rounds, using a unique rotary magazine system consisting of three separate tubes holding five rounds each. Lining up a fresh magazine tube is as easy as actuating a forward lever located inside the trigger guard, allowing users to manually rotate the next full tube into position. Once locked into place, the gun automatically loads a fresh round from the magazine.

The shotgun features an 18.5-inch barrel with a 3-inch chamber packed into an overall length of 28.34 inches. The barrel is compatible with all Benelli/Beretta choke tubes on the market, and one choke tube ships with the gun. Additionally, the shotgun includes a continuous Picatinny top rail that allows for the attachment of compatible optics and accessories. M-Lok-compatible slots line the side of the gun's fore-end, allowing for further customization. With the three magazine tubes unloaded, the shotgun weighs 8 pounds.

While the initial model offers an all-black finish, the company intends to release OD green and flat dark earth models later on. The suggested retail price on the IWI Tavor TS12 bullpup shotgun is $1,399.
