Wilson Combat announced the launch of a new series of AR-10 rifles called the Hunter Series in fall 2017, providing users with high-power, semi-automatic rifle platforms that fulfill a wide range of applications, from hunting to tactical shooting to personal defense. One of the options in this new lineup is the Wilson Combat Tactical Hunter AR-10.

All of the guns in the company's AR Hunter Series are purpose-built to offer rifle aficionados with some of the lightest big-bore ARs ever made for commercial use. Three different models are available in the new lineup, chambered in popular calibers like 6.5 Creedmoor, .260 Rem., 7 mm-08 Rem., .308 Win., .338 Fed., and .358 Win.

Most of the components used on the guns are designed specifically by the team at Wilson Combat, and all of the machining and final fitting is done in-house at the company's facility in Arkansas. Thanks to the extensive work that goes into the design and construction of each rifle, Wilson Combat guarantees that these lighweight rifles will shoot a three-shot group under an inch at 100 yards.

Each gun ships with the company's button-rifled, match-grade barrels, which are machined from high-quality stainless steel at the company's shop. The barrels are matched up to Wilson Combat's specially designed low-mass bolt-carrier group, and all of the guns also use the company's adjustable gas block that enables owners to fine-tune their guns with their preferred ammunition load. In addition, each rifle is also equipped with the company's Tactical Trigger Unit, which is intended to provide ultimate control for precision shooting.

The Wilson Combat Tactical Hunter can be had with a range of different customizable options. Barrel lengths are available in 18 inches or 20 inches, depending on the caliber selected, and can be had in fluted or unfluted designs. Other features of the new rifle include rifle-length gas system, nickel-boron bolt carrier and the company's own Armor-Tuff finish.

For furniture, the rifles are equipped with a proprietary Wilson Combat M-Lok-compatible handguard, along with a Wilson Super-Stoc and a BCM Starburst Gunfighter grip. Bravo Company also supplies the gun's small-latch charging handle.

The suggested retail price on the Wilson Combat Tactical Hunter AR-10 starts at $3,145.
