Federal Premium added innovation to the market of range ammunition with the launch of its Syntech total synthetic jacket (TSJ) ammunition, which is designed to reduce heat and friction while decreasing lead splashback from steel-target shooting. Now, reloaders have access to the benefits of the TSJ round with the company's new Syntech component bullets.

The new Syntech bullets are offered in three different calibers for reloaders: 9 mm (.355), .40 (.400) and .45 (.451). Each of these component bullet options retail in packs of 100 rounds, ensuring that reloaders can load their own rounds tailor-made for their handguns.

The Federal Premium Syntech rounds are designed to improve range shooting through the use of a polymer-coated lead bullet that eliminates metal-on-metal contact inside of the bore. This polymer coating completely eliminates the buildup of lead and copper inside of a gun's bore and also reduces the amount of heat and friction experienced by a firearm during high-volume strings of fire at the range. This reduction ensures that barrel life is extended, allowing users to get more life out of their guns.

Other benefits of this synthetic-jacketed round includes cleaner shooting, due to less buildup inside the bore and the gun's inner workings. This ensures that users can get more rounds in between cleanings without having to use more cleaning materials to get their firearm back into shape. In addition, the polymer coating reduces the distance and amount of lead bouncing back from impacts with a steel target, giving shooters a safer and cleaner range experience.

The addition of component bullets to the Federal Premium Syntech lineup means that shooters and reloaders can reap the benefits of the Syntech system while optimizing the rounds for their particular firearm, ensuring that they produce more reliable, consistent and accurate groups during their range experience.

The suggested retail price on the 100-count boxes of Syntech component bullets starts at $16.95 for 9 mm, while the .40-caliber rounds retail at $18.95 per box of 100. The .45-caliber box of 100 retails at an MSRP of $21.95.
