Two custom knifemakers, Dimitry Sinkevich and Todd Rexford, worked together in 2016 to develop a custom knife that met the high quality standards of both renowned designers. The two worked together and created two custom knives that sold instantly. Now, the designers are taking that same concept and working it into a production model, called the 0850 from Zero Tolerance Knives.

The ZT Knives 0850 knife is built with a CPM 20CV stainless-steel blade, which is completed with a two-tone finish that features a stonewash texture combined with a smooth satin finish on the blade's edge. The two chose the steel for its ability to hold a sharp edge, as well as its resistance to corrosion.

Also located on the blade is a thumb stud, which facilitates one-handed opening. The stud and the aluminum backspacer that surrounds it are both completed with a clear-anodized finish. Surrounding the blade, two handles are made from carbon-fiber composite material, which retains the strength and durability qualities of carbon fiber while still allowing for custom color options. The handles on the 0850 are finished in a dark blue color.

The ZT Knives 0850 features a number of weight-reduction qualities, including the company's patented sub-frame lock, which incorporates a lockbar insert that is made using hardened steel. To finish off the look and capabilities of the knife, a pocket clip machined from titanium is bead-blasted and affixed to the handle to allow for tip-up carry. Other final touches on the knife include black-colored hardware that is finished with a corrosion-resistant Teflon finish.

The knife features a 3.75-inch blade, which sits inside of a frame that measures 4.95 inches in the closed position. The overall length of the knife when deployed is 8.7 inches. The blade measures .156-inch thick. Total weight of the knife is 4.3 ounces.

The suggested retail price on the ZT Knives 0850 knife is $400.
