STI International, based in Texas, released its latest 2011 pistol design, the DVC Tactical 2011, aimed at attracting tactical shooters to the double-stack 2011 design.

The new pistol features lightening cuts along the slide, along with aggressive grip stippling for an external tactical look. The gun itself incorporates a number of features from STI's line of competition pistols and put them to use in a defensive pistol package.

The gun features fixed sights with tritium illumination, along with a 5-inch threaded barrel. The pistol is finished in a black diamond-like coating and features a copper-tinted barrel with a titanium-aluminum nitride finish. The rifle uses a tool-less guide rod and comes with a full-length railed dust cover to accommodate a number of accessories.

The gun also features the company's Tactical Magwell to facilitate quick reloads and mag stripping. The STI DVC Tactical 2011 is available in 9 mm with a 20-round capacity or .45 ACP with a 14-round capacity. The suggested retail price on the new pistol is $2,999.
