AR-15-style carbines and chassis-system bolt-action rifles are increasing in popularity, there's little question about that. It's practically a given that a new, tactically oriented long arm will have, at a minimum, a length of Picatinny rail underneath the fore-end for attachment of lights, lasers, foregrips and other accessories. It makes sense that a bipod that attaches to a rail would be a slam-dunk addition.

With this in mind, TacShield recently introduced the company's first rail-mounted bipod. Available in two different heights, both bipods are adjustable over a 3- or 4-inch range, both feature a tilt-adjustable mount and both have legs that are spring-loaded for immediate deployment when needed. Attachment to a Picatinny rail is accomplished via a single thumbscrew. A single sling swivel is included.

MSRP: $79.99 for 6-to-9-inch bipod, $84.99 for 9-to-13-inch bipod.
