Meopta’s MeoRed is a compact and durable red-dot sight designed primarily for handgun and sport shooting. Compared to their popular MeoSight III, this new sight reduces overall profile of the optic and allows users to co-witness with most iron sights. It’s fitting for fast, close-quarter target acquisition and tactical use, and weighing just over an ounce makes it ideal for handguns. The MeoRed would benefit many 3-gun competitors, target shooters and fast-game hunters such as feral hogs and vermin.

The MeoRed is a non-magnifying 1x optic that uses a 3 MOA red dot for aiming. It comes with an integrated MIL-STD 1913 mount, an interface for a Docter mount, a Picatinny mount and features customizable windage and elevation adjustments.

The device’s CR 2032 battery powers the MeoRed for up to 300 hours of run time and features a low battery indicator; an automatic shut-off feature will disable the unit after three hours. The battery compartment is located on the right side of the sight so the MeoRed battery can be replaced while attached to a gun. Two screws secure the battery, so even with accessibility it remains constant during extreme recoil.

The MeoRed is guaranteed waterproof, 1.85 inches long, 1.07 inches wide and 1.02 inches in height. It is covered by Meopta’s North American Lifetime Transferable Warranty and the suggested retail price is $517.49.
