Pulsar, known for its line of thermal imaging optics, introduced the newest thermal riflescope in its lineup: the Trail.

The Trail Thermal Riflescope uses aspheric germanium optics to increase thermal image resolution, and the company claims that this increased capability allows for small details, like hairs on skin, to be seen clearly at close range.

The scope comes with eight gigabytes of on-board video storage, allowing users to keep a record of the images seen through the scope. In addition, the Trail is also equipped with Wi-Fi capabilities, enabling smartphone and tablet owners to use the company's Stream Vision app for Android and iOS to live-stream their scope views in real time.

The Trail Thermal Riflescope is rated IPX7 waterproof, which means it can handle exposure to splashing water, rain, snow, and immersion of up to 1 meter for up to 30 minutes. The thermal sensor in the Trail features 640x480 pixel resolution, along with an AMOLED micro-display.

The suggested retail price on the Pulsar Trail Thermal Riflescope is $2,799.97.
