Kestrel's Pocket weather meters have given shooters an incredibly useful tool that easily fits into any pocket. Consumers can choose from a wide range of meter options, from the basic wind meter all the way up to the Kestrel 5700 Elite Meter with Applied Ballistics.

Measurements taken by the Kestrel 5700 Elite include wind speed, temperature, wind chill, relative humidity, heat stress index, dewpoint temperature, wet bulb temperature, absolute pressure, barometric pressure, altitude and density altitude.

The Applied Ballistics element of the Kestrel 5700 Elite includes a G1/G7 ballistics solver, muzzle velocity calibration, target range estimator, muzzle velocity-temperature table, spin drift calculator, Coriolis correction, aerodynamic jump correction, AB custom drag models, range cards and DSF calibration.

The Kestrel 5700 Elite includes a wide array of options to improve the range experience for long-range shooters. A Bluetooth LINK option gives users a wireless connection that downloads data collected by the device straight to any Android, IOS or other smartphone. Simply download the free Kestrel LiNK Ballistics app to enable the 5700 Elite to wirelessly send data up to 100 feet.

The Kestrel also works with the Bushnell CONX Rangefinder. The 5700 Elite also includes several upgrades from the previous 4500 model. The new model takes 1 AA battery instead of two. The battery door has also been moved to the back and is sealed away from the motherboard to prevent damage from battery leakage. The device also features a high-resolution interface with night vision and white backlights.

The Kestrel 5700 Elite Meter with Applied Ballistics retails at a suggested price of $609. Models equipped with the Bluetooth LiNK feature retail at $709.
