We're all aware of the importance of wearing hearing protection. If you've been shooting for any length of time, you will occasionally hear a faint ringing after a range trip - never a good thing. Wearing quality hearing protection can help keep any damage to your hearing at a minimum.

Unfortunately, it can come at a cost, too. Hearing protection strong enough to fully block all harmful sound levels can rob you of precious situational awareness. If you're helping a new shooter at the range, you both need to be able to understand each other's commands and questions, while still filtering out the loud noises.

This is where protection like the SportEar/ProSounds M-4 Electronic Muffs come in. Offering a 25 dB Noise Reduction Rating while allowing for amplification of non-harmful sounds, these electronic muffs allow you to maintain a normal conversation while simultaneously excluding harmful noises. Best of all, the batteries are accessed through an outside panel, allowing for easy change-out when needed.

Sounds over 85 dB are automatically blocked, and four directional microphones help pinpoint non-harmful sounds for amplification. There's even an audio input jack for your phone or MP3 player. The headband is padded for extra comfort and each ear cup has its own volume control.

MSRP: $109.99.
