When we heard the news that SIG Sauer had introduced a line of premium ammunition, we knew this was a development worth exploring. We run through a good amount of ammunition while testing firearms, and we try to test both plinking/practice ammo along with the defensive variety.

With SIG's line of quality handguns as both backdrop and impetus, the decision was made to bring ammunition worthy of the SIG name to market. Initially offered in .380 ACP, 9 mm, .357 SIG, .40 S&W and .45 ACP, each caliber currently has a single bullet weight and style.

All cartridges feature SIG's proprietary V-Crown stacked hollow point bullet which the company claims provides for uniform expansion. Chromed brass cases and low-flash propellant round out this top-shelf ammunition, providing what promises to be sure-loading ammo that won't be blinding at night.

MSRP: $22.17 (9 mm), $29.45 (.45 ACP) for 20-round box.
