Kimber added five new models to its Micro 9 line of 9 mm pocket pistols based on the 1911 design.

“Micro 9 set a new level of expected quality when we launched the platform earlier this year,” said Winslow Potter, director of product marketing. “With the addition of these new line extensions, we’re confident that Micro 9 will better suit our customers’ specific needs and individual personalities.”

The new models include two CDP options, as well as the Stainless Raptor, Bel Air and Sapphire. The Stainless Raptor will retail at a suggested price of $889, the Bel Air will retail for $864 and the Sapphire will sell for $1,061. The Micro 9 CDP options retail for either $924 or $1,142, depending on the model.

The Kimber Micro 9 is a small-scale 1911 designed along the same lines as the company's Micro 380. The slide and barrel are machined from stainless steel, while the frame is constructed from aluminum. The gun retains the typical single-action trigger common to 1911s, as well as the thumb safety, slide release and magazine release.
